Lend a Hand Save a Life CPR Challenge.

On June 4, 2013 at the Capitol Rotunda Fountain, the PA Department of Health, The Bureau of EMS, and The Heart Rescue Project recognized participants and top performers in training at least 250,000 Pennsylvanians in Hands-only CPR, by EMS Week in May. The goal was exceeded with 330,000 people being trained. West Shore EMS was recognized with the Emergency Health Services Federation for the region with the most agencies participating. West Shore EMS held five events during the challenge with 1000  people being trained. The events included Day of Dance, Girls Night Out-Carlisle, Business Women’s’ Forum, Camp Hill High School, and Harrisburg Area Roller Derby. In the photo second from left is Christopher Turnbull, EMT who participated in many of the events. Fifth from left is Steve Poffenberger, Director of Quality, who coordinated the events. West Shore EMS had twelve other staff members who participated.
